- TRL
The Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) are a type of measurement system used to assess the maturity level of a particular technology. TRLs are based on a scale from 1 to 9 with 9 being the most mature technology. The first models were developed at NASA in the 1980 and, since then, the scale has been refined to cover the most diverse areas of knowledge. To assist the academic community, SINOVA has created a poster based on NASA’s (1995, 2009) and EMBRAPA’s (2018) models (click on the image to view it full size).
The Technology Radar is a statistical report based on patent information that aims to stimulate the strategic use of technological information for the Brazilian industry.
Published annually by Cornell University, INSEAD and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Global Innovation Index (GII)provides detailed metrics about the innovation performance of countries and economies around the world.
The Empreende UFSC-SEBRAE Project has developed a booklet with the main concepts and definitions on entrepreneurship, innovation, intellectual property and patent.
The Intellectual Property Guide (2010) developed by the former Department of Technological Innovation (DIT) is intended to guide the academic community in the procedures for protection of results from projects developed at UFSC. The guide provides the definition of terms related to Intellectual Property, such as invention patent and utility model, industrial design, trademark and computer program, and gives instructions on how to request the protection from UFSC.
